okay, let me start out by saying i am almost 17 years old, and my girlfriend is 16. On saturday at around 1 P.M. we had sex and i accidently went inside of her. She is on birth control and has been for a few months now. She said she was at the end of her cycle..(which i think means the last few pills of the month) but i am not sure. She forgot to take her pill the day that it happened, which was saturday. I know i made a mistake, so i dont need people to tell me to wear a condom, and etc. because i know that i should have but i made a mistake, so please help me with some advice. I was considering taking her to the health clinic for women under 18 to maybe take the morning after pill, but i think it might just be too late and i am not sure.
i really need help with.
1. is there a good chance of her becoming pregnant?
2. Should i take her to the health clinic?
3. Will the morning after pill have any effect after 3 days?
any other information will be greatly appreciated!
Thank You!

Ok, first thing, remain calm, no situation can be made better by panicking. If your girlfriend has been diligently taking the pill, you should be fine. (No guarantees though!) The pill that she missed, was it at the end of the back and a different color then the rest? If so, for most birth control pills those are just reminder placebo pills and may contain a vitamin supplement or a very low dose of hormone, so it is not the end of the world that she missed it. It is important that she always takes the pill after she forgets it, don't just skip it all together, unless you consult a physician first and they verify that is was indeed a placebo pill.

I would call the doctor that prescribes her the pill and See what they say, it might be worth getting the morning after pill, but that is really just a strong dose of birth control pill that she might not need since she is on the pill already. Also if she was at the end of her cycle, I am assuming that means she just got off of her period? Then likely hood that an egg has been dropped, fertilized and that the uterine wall is primed (swollen with blood and nutrients) to have the egg attach and cause pregnancy is slimmer at this point of the ovulation cycle. Not that it isn't possible though!!!

Call the doc, but I think you might be OK this time.

Yes, there is a chance that she could be pregnant. Whether she is on the pill or not, when you have sex pregnancy is always a risk. I'm sure you have heard it a dozen times, but there is no birth control that is 100% effective. You should take her to the health clinic or she could see her regular doctor if she has one. Visits are confidential...

I don't know much about the morning after pill, but the health care provider can advise you guys on what your options are if your girlfriend IS indeed pregnant.

I'm sure you will get plenty of lectures on here about not having sex, blah, blah, blah. If you were my son, I would definitely tell you to abstain, but the fact of the matter is you can only do so much as a parent. If you are going to continue to have sex, just be careful int he future. At that clinic/doctor visit, talk to the health care provider about other forms of birth control. You can use other forms even if your girlfriend is on the pill. Good Luck!

She needed to take the pill she skipped, along with the pill she should have been taking that day (2 pills) at the regular time she takes them everyday. Those pills, if she just completed her cycle, are just blanks. They don't contain hormones. If she takes her pills regularly there shouldn't be a problem because the 3 weeks of pills that she takes before her cycle prevent her from ovulating. PROVIDED SHE TAKES THEM ON-TIME, EVERYDAY. So if she doesn't, definitly take her to the clinic!!! have a test done and pray that you are not over the 72 hour mark, just to be on the safe side. Good luck.

if she has been taking the pill correctly for the rest of the time then the chances of her getting pregnant are slim, but not negligible so you should definately get yourselves down to the clinic A.S.A.P. where they will no doubt organise the morning after pill, just to be on the safe side.

The morning after pill will work up until 72hrs after the 'accident' but the longer you leave it the lower the effectiveness-hence time is of the essence.

You should really be wearing a condom regardless of whether she's on the pill or not(and I know you know, you said) but as you may or may not know the pill is only 99.7% effective(when taken religiously) and is, of course no protection at all from STD's.

Behave yourselves in the future and fingers crossed!

Good chance she's not pregnant, but the morning after pill won't hurt. Now here comes the part you don't want to hear! The morning after pill was created because people no longer want to take responsibility for their actions! I don't want to seem rude, but you said it yourself. Use a condom next time!

I would say there is a 99 % chance she will be not pregnant. If she is you both need to face your resposibilities like adults and not go running around looking to taking morning after pills etc. You both need to go to the health clinic and educate yourselves a bit better I think.

you're in all risk wonderful. The substitute is maximum probable because of the pill making your era fantastic. curiously this occurs many times with the two Yaz and Yasmin. If there became no semen presented into the vagina (good on your bf using a condom) alongside with a hormonal start administration, you're exceptionally rattling risk-free. certainly, your era is in all risk thrown off by ability of the two the irregularities from the pill, because of the fact it could reason you to bypass classes, have random recognizing, or extremely short classes; and stress. stress has an incredible impression on your era. while you're tremendously under pressure (of course no longer dozing for 4 days annoying) then it could reason you to bypass or have previous due classes. This same concern befell with my fiancee and we thought we've been gonna have a baby. It ended up being the pill's irregularities and stress annoying approximately no longer having the era.
