My husband and I would pick a letter and for 3 or 4 days kept a close ear out for every word, name, or sound that began with that letter. If nothing stuck, we moved on to another letter.
We also decided before hand that we wanted a 2 syllable name to go with my 1 syllable middle name.
It would have taken me eons to name my daughter otherwise.
Now I'm pregnant with my son. Since I've decided not to have any more kids, I took the M from my daughters name and found my son's name in a jiffy. I would never do this if I were going to have more than 2 kids, just too cheesy for me.
I also checked both kid's names against numerology!
Good Luck!

I just found an interesting website:
www.thinkbabynames.com
You can see a list of popular names from #1 to #1000. I started at 1000 cause I want a different name for my new baby.
I like your idea of the movies. I love Lucius from "The Village" but my hubby doesn't like it.

When I was a kid I always watched this spin off movie from Star Wars called "The Ewok Adventure" In the movie the boy and girl were named "Mace" and Cindel". I think you get some of the best names from movies and TV.

Hey, I think that Cecilia was also the girlfriend of the guy in "Monsters Inc".
A good idea for baby names is to check out web sites in other countries.
Granted you might not want to go with Cho Me Sou But you might stumble across some thing very nice and unique

I looked through my high school yearbook. My husband picked the first name off of TV, and I was supposed to pick the middle name, so I looked in my high school yearbook to get ideas. That was if we would have had a girl. Then, we had a boy and named him following family tradition...

This is going to sound sort of morbid, but a place that has a lot of names is the obituaries. (Not the dead people, but their family members) If you look through a days obits in the paper, there will be many names on one page.

i found an old book called "encyclopedia of the gods" which lists the gods, goddesses and dieties of all known religions past and present. most of the names were completely off the wall, but there were a lot of them that were really nice names. i named my daughter daphne, which is the greek laurel goddess, because my name (lori) means "laurel crowned".
