Cano in the AL, MCab in the NL. For these reasons:
Freddy Sanchez batting .344 last year was a fluke. Jeter's .342 was an aberration from his career numbers. And Mauer is a catcher, so the daily grind will catch up with him towards the end of the season.

No way Howard wins. He hits alot of HRs but check out his strikeouts: 181. I don't see a 181K guy hitting over the low .300s. Look at the guys who hit high averages last year. They all had one thing in common, low K rates.
American: Cano or Ichiro
National: Prince Albert

I will go with young, sleeper-type picks. Both are extremely talented and have track records of high-batting averages and good walk rates.
AL- Howie Kendrick (batting over .420 this spring)
NL - Stephen Drew
Now, of course, the popular picks are:
AL - Joe Mauer
NL - Miguel Cabrera
Just my two cents.
