I agree with this question...for those of you that are saying that it is NOT legal better do your research....I got this from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incest

Twenty-four states prohibit marriages between first cousins, and another six permit them only under special circumstances. Utah, for example, permits first cousins to marry only provided both spouses are over age 65, or at least 55 with evidence of sterility. North Carolina permits first cousins to marry unless they are "double first cousins" (cousins through more than one line). Maine permits first cousins to marry only upon presentation of a certificate of genetic counseling. The remaining nineteen states and the District of Columbia permit first-cousin marriages without restriction.

Legal in: Alabama, Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia

Illegal in: Arkansas, Delaware, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas (no new ones as of 1 September 2005; previous marriages are still legal), Washington, West Virginia, Wyoming

Legal under Certain Circumstances: Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Utah, Wisconsin

Actually Incest isn't legal there and the definition of incest varies from state to state. In Maryland 1st cousins are allowed to marry but it is illegal in many other states.

I don't know if it's true that insest is legal. I hate my experiences of the South more than anyplace I have traveled... but I am trying (I said TRYING) to not sterotype so much. I honeslty think that the homophobia is from isolation. We don't reach out to them to show them how decent and normal we are. They think of gay people as minsing fairies or old men in trench coats. Very few middle aged middle class gay men with profesional jobs and stable relationships probably come over for sunday dinner.

did u think of it is its criminal any the place??? interior the US u can not legally marry absolutely everyone this is a relative(by using blood, marriage, or adoption) except they're a 0.33 cousin or extra useful( your grandparents cousin could be 0.33 cousins, ur mothers and fathers cousins could be 2nd cousins, ur cousins could be first cousins)it is how its works. yet there is not any regulation approximately residing jointly . that's considered as immoral, ill, and so on yet this usa has to evaluate what number of human beings come right here from different international places the place that's criminal to marry a familiar cousin( not brother or sister)as long as the two every physique is of criminal age there is not plenty u can do approximately it.
