I get an error message saying can't locate C:Windows/system32\drvtat.dll. Drive is enabled and no other errors or virues are found in the computer. I'm stuck and I need help

you are missing the driver for the drive, contact tech support for the drivers

You can try to do a System restore to a point before this started happening, try that first. If that doesn't work you have two options...

One, go into the device manager, click the "+" sign next to DVD/CD Drives, right click the drive in the list and select Uninstall, click OK and when it finishes, reboot. This will force windows to detect the drive again and reinstall the drivers.

If that doesn't work, you'll have to track down updated drivers either from the manufacturer for the drive or whoever made the laptop.

This will fix it reinstall burn software...

Example I run Nero so I reinstall Nero cause the software is corrupt.

Search the net for that file... drvtat.dll....download and install it...zdnet.com might have it
