I don't play games on my old computer, just using it to surf the web and watch youtube videos. What do you recommend?

you should stuck with xp and add more ram

If you are familiar with Linux, then I say go for it.

Though, you could buy a cheap stick of ram off ebay and use windows 2000 pro, which is basically windows XP without all the bells and whistles. Plus, it can run well on only 128mb.

The current linux distributions are more powerful the Vista, and use more resources, so you're probably better off keeping XP on it or getting a new computer.

128MB ram is doesn't matter for your purposes.Anyways i reckon Linux is a good and most popular open source software nowadays.Specially it has less virus threats than windows. So try it out. Use fedora if u are suppose to use Linux. Thanx enjoy max

Most versions of window xp require 256mb to run properly

do u know about linux system,to me i will say keep xp and get a higher ram on it.u said u playing games and watching movie on youtube.to me i feel u need to get more memory and GB to support wat u doing on ut pc

I think u shud go and install and have fun. bt remember to choose swap space for it min 1000 mb.

I would stay with what works. If you start changing thing on most older systems they begin to break.
