there are many who were born in england but are originally form another country, eg. Ravinder Bopara, Sajid Mahmood, Monty Panesar.
Panesar, Boapra, have Indian parents whereas mahmood has pakistani parents.
Andrew Strauss, and Kevin Pietersen were both born in South Africa. Pietersen has a South African father, whereas Strauss has English Parents.
The rest of the players from the squad are English by birh, and also have English parents, I think.

Edmund Joyce is Irish and had to complete a residency period of 4 years before being allowed to switch to England.
Kevin Pietersen was born and raised in South Africa but has an English mother, he moved to England to persue a cricketing career and also had to complete a residency period.
Everyone else is English born, although Monty Panesar has Indian heritage and Sajid Mahmood has Pakistani heritage. Andrew Strauss was born in South Africa to British parents and is British.
