You would think they'd feel SOME kind of responsibility for those who act in the name of Islam via militant jihadism. Instead, it seems they usually try and peg us with the responsibility of "learning about the 'real Islam'"....as though THAT will lead to an end to terrorism.
Personally, i think that's a smokescreen...seeing that many so-called moderates wind up being caught funneling money from their US based operations to organizations like Al Qaida.

ps to bareass - then it IS a smokescreen and TRULY IS about militant jihadism.
Now, Akbar, what do I suggest?? I'd figure those who are the "experts" on Islam, (i.e. it's followers) would have the BEST ideas. That's why i posed the question.

ps to all - the silence otherwise is deafening...but not unexpected! it just proves my theory.

Well, I guess the silence tells me they don't have enough passion about their religion being perverted to correct the world view they're all getting. Either that, or they're all just full of crap when they talk "peace".

I would think the non-Jihadist's here in America would be doing everything in their power to protest or at least publically denounce their ultra- violent "brothers" actions.........I just dont think they really care.
What does this tell us?
I have heard about anti-American teachings that some Imams are practising right here in our own country.
We are in for big trouble from within if these things are ignored.

Of course they should, however, how are you going to change their archaic 7th century ideology.
Their Koran teaches them to kill anybody who does not follow their doctrine

Doing more? How about doing ANYTHING? At best they are silent, at worst they make excuses for the terrorists.
