I installed service pack 2 about a month ago, ever since I have had more problems with freezing up! should i just uninstall it or is there something else I should do? I have aol security package, but I'm using windows firewall. should I use aol firewall instead?

Disable windows firewall & use AOL firewall, then run scandisk or as it's called on XP error checking.

Disable your windows firewall, it's conflicting with your AOL security suite. You can't run two firewalls or antivirus' at the same time. Then you need to find something besides AOl for your security, it's a resource hog. Check out the free security apps. at FileHippo.com. Your windows firewall works ok for incoming threats, but if you pick up a trojan dialer, windows fw can't stop it.AOL security probably choose's itself as your default application, so shuting off windows fw will probably help.
