I think it's "mother-in-law."
If, what you are really asking, though, is how to handle such a person and his/her unwanted intrusions, I prefer Miss Manners' approach of utter politeness that "kills."
With all the sincerity you can either muster or pretend to muster, it goes something like, "Thank you so much for telling me that you didn't like my hair. I guess next time I need to spend even more than the thirty minutes I spent on it today. Perhaps you could suggest something. Your hair always looks stunning."
Or, the quicker, "Thank you for sharing that with me." and possibly then, "You know I count on your complete honesty at all times, even when, as now, I don't have the option of doing anything about it."

That depends on if they do it kindly and in private or blather it out in public and try to belittle you. If the first, they are a true friend. If the latter, they are a blabbermouth.
