It may make it easier, yes.
Also, try to use a junior tampon. Right now you're probably too tight to use a large one.
Also, make sure it's in correctly. Once you get it in, use the applicator to move it around until it's comfortable.

Wow, what a silly thing to ask but you are young so you get to ask those kinds of things. First of all no your hymen breaking has nothing to do with tampon usage.
The reason it hurts is because you are either a. not putting it in straight or b. you are too dry when you are putting it in. Sometimes during your period your vagina dries out especially when you are using tampons the blood stays inside instead of coming out onto the pad. My suggestion is try using lubricant such as ky jelly or petroleum jelly or (vaseline). This may help you learn how to put it in. Try to keep in mind that your vagina is not straight... Keep the shape of your vagina in mind and also look at the size of the tampon outside of the holder. It is small so you want to try to get it right in the middle of your vagina...Try the suggestions that come with a box of tampons. Also you may be using th wrong size. Try the pre teen size they are good for starters. Hope this all helps.. Good luck! The rule of thumb with tampons is if you can feel it, it ain't in right!

You possibly are pushing it up too high, or not high enough. Try using plastic applicators. They make the process easier. Tampons hurt me until i started using the plastic ones. Cardboard is just too painful...

If they hurt it means you are not putting them in properly. It has nothing to do with being a virgin or not. Look at the diagram that comes with them and you will see that they do not go in straight up. You have insert them sort of up and towards the back of your vagina.

Hyman has nothing to do with it. I would say you didnt have it in right.
It does take a little practice to make sure its in the right position.
They can be very uncomfortable when they are not in far enough.
Try making sure its in far enough.

it probably has to do with your internal size. you should try a smaller one, like tampax slim fit and see how that goes. if you're still having problems, you may want to ask your gynecologist about it.

Maybe??? only you can tell.
Many girls cant wear them because they are smaller than normal and the nerve endings are close to the surface.
You body is talking to you listen........it is not necessary to go
with the popular trend when your body is regecting it.
