i guess you can say this starts off when im young and skinny but now that im 17 i feel very bad about myself it all goes when my mom does drugs and i feel that she should be around more but im very blessed that i have a grandma who took care of me from day one. I guess it all starts in middle school when i used to get teased but i really didnt let it bother me and had friends to hang with but one day when i get teased to much i felt embrassed and ran to the bathroom and cried my eyes out but there was this teacher who told me that her daughter use to be picked on the i should care about what people think of me. During high school i lost all of my friends and i think negative things about myself that i just i would disappear i have very low self esteem no social life no friend in the world except a boy im overweight trying to lose weight i dont know what to think about my self i try to put positive things in my mind but i seem to cant. Can any of you people can give me advice ?

You might try to make "Friendly pride and good style" your motto. You might also concentrate on studying hard. You might try to eat more healthy natural food and so also do a lot more of your favorite sport.

You might try to seek the company of, and be friends with, people that your deem better than yourself, and so you should also exert some sincere effort to pay the expenses that may be related to your being in their company.

It would be of utmost importance for you to share warm feelings with one of the opposite sex, and so also to try to caress some vision of a brighter future together.

"Friendly pride and good style" may be a good starting point for you. Maybe you have to investigate what "pride" may be, and so also what "good style" may be, and so find instances of this in your local culture.

Then you may warmly caress the idea of hope, and hope that the good turning point is near at hand, not much beyond the nearby hills of your bright vision.

i'm overweight.
i've been depressed, i've tried to kill myself, i've tried thorwing up my food.
I'm happy now. How did i get to be happy?
my friends. how did i mke friends?
i joined clubs. which i know may be akward at first, but thats how u meet people. how did i decide which clubs? i know i love to write and i love to sing nd i love art. so i went from there. it sounds like u have a knack for writibg. maybe join the school paper. if u like to sing join a choir. if ur shy, ('i'm shy) it may be scary. but jut do it. no one will remember your first day. i've been the new girls all my life so u get used to it. but if join a club, u'lll most likely find one person there u really get along with and u work from there.
another thing that makes me feel great about myself is exercising.
i go to the gym a few nights a week. and the adrenaline rush is great, i love the control and i love pushim myself.
do what u love to do.it'll make u feel better.
write out r feelings in a journal. that helps. cause ur letting it out. put it online in anonymous blog and get feedback or keep it to urself. but that really gets a load of ur shoulder.
just be pootive. people read off of u. if u feel happy ppl will precieve u as happy and more approachable.

hi, being a teen is a confusing and difficult one. Your foundation to start off with, wasn't grounded. So you have to stand on your own two feet and make it solid. With each experience you have, you will get to know yourself better. You have to start somewhere first. Make a list of do's and don't's about yourself. Your dislikes and likes about yourself. Fix all the don't's. Make a goal and stick to it. If you like yourself well enough, (love yourself) people will be drawn to you. It's like the laws of attraction. we attract what and who we are towards us. This is all in how your thoughts run. Good brings good and bad, negative stuff comes back to you. This is a fact of life. Grab on to your dreams of who you want to be, and go with it-positively. Don't let any bad thoughts stay. You have your own choices in life, pick the ones that will make you succeed. Your the only one who can make yourself happy.

It will pass. I'm 16 and I'm going through the same thing but I have friends but sometimes I question who my real friends are. Because I have this group of friends and I'm the leader and we invite whoever we want into our group of friends but sometimes I wonder if that is even enough.
