I would like to add one of those USB Wireless Network Adapters to a computer. The computer only has an old USB 1 port. Will the connection still work, just slower? All the adapters I see all specify USB 2.

You can always buy a USB 2 card for your computer. They are relatively inexpensive and easy to install. They usually have 4 ports so you can plug in your networking device and you have 3 more ports to play with

USB 1 and USB 2 can work either way. Obviously a USB 2 device plugged into a USB 1 port will only operate at USB 1 speed and a USB 1 device plugged into a USB 2 port will only work at USB 1 speed.
