I have a Acer Travelmate 2300 which is a laptop and something is wrong with the cd drive it wont read my cd's I think its probably the laser or something but I was wondering if there are any stores or any websites where I can get a replacement or at least another cd drive that I can hook up to my usb for cheap.

can burn cd's too
besides reading both cd's & dvd's
cost differential is minimal, cd v/s dvd ; rom v/s burner
suit yourself !

try Acers home page they should be able to sell you a refurbished drive cheap here is the link -->

Or buy an external one to replace the one you have either way I think going to their page and contacting them would be best cause if drive not working something else is possibly breaking.
