It just seems that everytime someone asks a question there is always someone ready to correct it. I understand with really bad mistakes but I sometimes feel a little sorry for the people who aren't native speakers or who make minor errors.

I'm dyslexic and have bad days where my spellings bad but not unreadable it really bugs me to be criticised on spelling that at i at times have no control over and don't even notice.
it brings back bad memory's of primary school.
i think its to sound Superior to others and feel smart pointing it out and to make others look dumb.

also it dosent help that spell check on yahoo always stops working if you have long answers

but ive had some of the must horrable insults fom other users because of my spelling and the most insulting, nasty ones get reported (so be warned)

Because using txt spk (you know how much that hurt to type there???) is a bad use of the English language, and a bad influence. It's also annoying to read. (I'm on a writing website, so I'm really picky like than anyways)

But I know what you're talking about: on the Yahoo France version, I asked a really important question, cause I need to know what modern French people think about something for an exam, and I got 5 answers on the trot talking about my bad French which wasn't even that bad!

i think of this is extra useful to maximum magnificent them in a diplomatic way and that i will permit you recognize why. If somebody makes a spelling mistake and you notice it, possibilities are high that individual makes different spelling blunders. i'm not counting typos on a working laptop or laptop. you could tell those especially relatively. sometime, although, that individual is going to might desire to jot down something, say, for their boss, and could not or not this is extremely outstanding for that individual while they misspell 3 or 4 words on a checklist for the boss. those spell checkers are not as acceptable as every physique thinks. they gained't permit you recognize a good form of blunders you made even although they're blunders. you certainly might desire to appreciate the main magnificent utilization of the words, there, their, and that they are. And meat and meet. And sufferers and endurance. And no and understand. You get the belief. undesirable grammar is a thoroughly distinctive subject count.

It is like that on most Internet forums. Just because you are not at work or school doesn't mean you should be careless about your spelling. If you want to speak with authority on any subject "spellin lik dis" will not make people listen to you. As for non-native speakers, they can use the corrections to learn from their mistakes.

People have accused me of being rude because I point out that they don't need to use more a string of question marks in their question. Obviously people have different definitions of rude. Insulting the person for their spelling or word usage is just as immature as insulting them for their opinions.

They're normally more typing errors than spelling errors. It is a bit pedantic, but spelling / typing errors really stand out on a page!

It just shows a respect for the english language.
My biggest critiscism is when people are lazy and have to use text speak or slang when there are perfectly correct words to use.

Because some people have nothing better to do with their time. For all they know they could have a disability. And as long as you can read and understand it, what does it matter.
