We're trying to compare the pro's and con's of tampons with sanitary napkins. To wear a sanitary napkin, it would take one less than thirty seconds, depending on the wings and adhesive features of one's napkins.

How long does it usually take for one to get the tampon inside? (Not wear around. A friend who is taking up nursing as a pre-med for ob-g said one shouldn't wear it any longer than four hours.)
Minutes?
Seconds, too, only?

Cheers!

Ladies, thank you. we are already aware of the differences of each female body.

sorry. we opted putting the question up in the polls and surveys sections but we wanted to preserve the medical feel of the question. a need of feminine concern. if you could give a number... e.g.: XX seconds, that would be great help for our research.

thank you for your time.

(groupmates, whoever has the graphs from last Friday, please please please e-mail it to Jerry. We need it for next week's presentation. Cheers.)

It takes no more time and maybe even less time to insert a tampon than it does to apply a pad with wings. Also you wear them 4 hours at a time the same as you do a pad. Pads are changed every 4 hours and so are tampons.

Once you have been doing it a while it should take no more than 10 seconds to do it...It is very easy. There are times though when you put it in lopsided and it does not feel right and those times you have to try again it might take a max of 30 secs.

Maybe 15 seconds. Probably a lot quicker than applying a pad once you've gotten into the habit of it. The first few times might be awkward and difficult, but once you get it, it's easy.

doesn't normally take very long- but if you don't put it right in you can feel it and have to take it out and start again with a new one, which is annoying.
You're right about the 4 hours. Leaving them in too long can lead to toxic shock. I won't wear one overnight unless it's very heavy.

It takes less than five seconds for me. There is no time difference between pads and tampons...pads are messy suckers though!

it should only take a few seconds to insert a tampon correctly . and yes you should chage it every 2-4 hrs to avoid toxic shock syndrome risk.

Usually only takes me about 10 seconds. Open it, use it, toss it. Seems simple enough.

i would say.... 5 seconds max. that doesnt include throwing the wraper away though... or taken the other one out....... so i would say the whole process takes 10 seconds.
