No, but you should make them pay for the damage, even if you don't intend to repair it. (Besides, most college kids would be more upset by a bill for $300 than a night in jail.)

No, college kids bang a lot of people, they are careless but it's because of their hormones, not because they are bad people. Give them a break this time, but do make sure they pay for the repairs to your car.

it's not up to you to press charges, it's up to the police, if they were involved. If not, and no-one's hurt, why not just leave it to the insurance companies to sort out?
