I am going to louisana. I am leaving around jun 28 and plan to be back around jul 3. I have to go about 45 min north of new orleans. Is it better to go online and book the flight, hotel, and car all together or get a travel agent and have them arrange all that stuff. does anybody have any experiance planing the whole trip online? what would you reccomend? how far ahead of time should I book a flight to get the best deal? It will be 2 adults traveling from minnesota.

If you are a novice, you can ask a travel agent to suggest some alternatives. Before you buy, you can do some checking yourself online. If you are flying out of Minnesota, you are likely going NWA. They offer vacation packages that are cheaper than buying separately, but you can often do as well on your own. NWA flight prices change all the time and for sure each Wednesday. I would start working on airfare about 6 weeks out and check NWA.COM as well as Orbitz. If you can take the crappy flight times, you can save money. (early morning departures...late arrivals)
