Oh boy, yes I can see why he called you a racist although you probably didn't think of it that way. I would straighten him out with the fact that not all rappers are black (Eminem or The Beastie Boys). On the otherhand you shouldn't stereotype with the fact that you are assuming all rappers smoke crack. There is a Christian rapper who was big on MTV about 7 years ago.

Oh and ask him if he has every truly listened to the lyrics. If not then sit him down and write them out. Make him look them up. Explain what they. Relate it to people he cares about. That may change his mind.

Oh, and I hate the music.

well as a crack smoking rap listener I find your comment to be extremely racist, you really shouldn't teach your kids that listening to rap leads to crack smoking, first you start with pot, then you do coke, then you take ecstacy, then take a couple of acid tabs, then you shoot heroin, THEN you smoke crack, ohhh and I was waaaay into country music and opera when I started smoking crack, the rap music came later. lol

I don't blame his azz! So you think that everybody who listens to rap music smokes crack? You need to be a lot more open-minded than what you are! I'm a college-edcuated black man with three degrees and i happen to love all types of music including rock 'n' roll! So does that make me look like a bad guy if i like music other than my own kind? No. When it comes to music, we have to all be colorblind because music really is.

Tell him you are aware that crack smoking rap listeners are not a race. They however still piss a lot of people off.

I dont blame you for saying that. I think rap is a horrible influence on all kids. It glorifies being poor and living a gangster life, violence and drugs.
It has nothing to do with race...at least not in my oppinion.

Ah, don't worry, he'll grow out of it. I used to listen to it too and my daddy wanted to rip his ears off. Now I don't know how I was able to listen to such things.

Did you explain to him that rap artists come in different colors?

that's racist. But you should explain it in a different way, that has more fact and thought behind it. Then it will be easier for him to understand
