I would say under 18 is too young to get married.

It's not a matter of age, but a matter of maturity.
At age 20, I was legally able to marry, but my first marriage was a tragedy because I lacked the maturity to know what I was getting myself into.
My current marriage is successful. I have matured and understand a great deal more about what marriage is about and I know more what to expect.
My ex-husband is 36, on shaky ground with his third wife, and still lacks the maturity to understand how to handle long-term relationships.
On the flip side, my aunt and uncle eloped when they were teenagers. They are now in their 60s and still have one of the sweetest marriages I have ever seen.
People should not think, "I am such-and-such an age, therefore I am ready to get married." People who do think that way are not mature enough to make that commitment.

If there's not a baby involved you need to wait until your life is on the track that you want it to be on. You make sure that you are with a person that loves you as much as they love themselves. Also it's always good to be financially stable and to have family support. If your mate is smart and really loves you, they'll know when it's time. If there's one doubt in your mind, then it's not time. So, it's not time because if you were ready and sure about this, you would'nt be asking America.
If you need a specific age, I would say at least 25 when you are sure about what you want in YOUR life. If your life isn't straight and together, it wont work.

I don't think this question can be answered with a specific number I think it has a lot to do with the mental age of both parties involved. there are probably 18 yr. olds out there who are more mentally ready to get married than some 40 yr. olds. age doesnt matter if you are truly in love with someone who has mutual feelings for you and you hoinestly believe you can make it work and if you have spent enough time getting to kno each other.

Anything your state says is too young to marry without parental consent. If you are too young to hold a job. If you are too young to drink legally in your state or to vote.

i would have to say less than 18 because you have to be prepared to be an adult when you get married , and its not kidding around nomore. And also finish school you never know how things will turn out its better to be prepared than to be sorry to late situation.

it all depend on how old you are and what you know about life itself. I was 27 when I got married, I did all the things that I wanted in life when I was single,I travel, enjoyed all of my close friends. then met my husband..........

When you don't have a job to support your family, when you want..all you want is to go out and have fun with your friend, when you don't know what to do when you run into a problem...When all you can think about is you..and only you!
