STOP thinking negative!

STOP scaring yourself! Just be the best wife you can be and NOT think he'll divorce you someday!!

IF he owned the home before you married him, more than likely if he divorced you, he'd get the house.

STOP worrying yourself over crap that isn't there.

It depends on where you live. IF you live in the U.S…

Anything he owed prior to getting married is his separate property as long as he keeps it separate (ie he doesn’t add your name to the title) and you have no claim to it if you get divorced. If he’s smart, he will keep it separate (because why should you own half of something he owned before you were his wife).

Anything acquired during the marriage (with the exception of gift or inheritance that was not co-mingled--remained separated) is martial funds/assets and would be divided.

If you have no kids there is no reason you can’t get a job or pursue an education/obtain some job skills. In this day and age it is never a smart thing for a woman to be TOTALLY dependant on a man.

You are probably just being paranoid. Most women are always worried about their men. I would recommend getting some education and possibly a job so you can be independent and it will give you more self worth anyway. Homemaker? You have no children so what do you do with your time? If you had a good job, you could hire a maid to come in once a week and pay them and have a lot more money. You must learn to be independent.

You should contact your local Legal Aid office or go online and look up your states divorce laws. Many states are community property states. A lawyer is the best resource for you. Many will consult with you for a small fee and tell you your states laws and what you are entitled to if a divorce occurs. You may also decide to divorce him someday.

First of all, you need to be more independent. Go get a job and open a checking account in your name. That way if you do get divorced you have something to fall back on.
Secondly why do you feel this way? Maybe you should sit down and talk to your husband. Let him know how you feel.
