Most new motherboards support booting from a USB device. Older motherboards do not support booting from a USB device and some motherboards fall in between and require a bios update to boot from USB.
The first step is to search for your motherboard manufacturers website on the internet and find the specifications for your motherboard.
If you are using a desktop you can find your motherboards manufacturer by opening your case and looking at the motherboard. Make sure you turn off the power and unplug the computer before doing this.
If you are using a laptop you can usually find the motherboard type by searching for your laptops manufacturer on the internet and searching for your laptops specifications.
If your computer can boot from a USB drive and you need a BIOS update there should be instructions for updating your BIOS on the manufacturer website. Follow the directions carefully! Making an error while updating your BIOS can ruin your motherboard.
If you post your computers model number or your motherboards manufacturer and motherboard I can give you more specific information.
Good Luck!

It should be on the same place where you select which drive you want to boot from however, this is not an option for older Motherboard. Only the current one on the market has it but not all. It is best to go to your MB manufacturers website and see if they have any patch relating to it.
Good Luck!

Some motherboards do not support boot up USB power. You can not get a patch for this only buying a new board the support it.

1st you'd need to find the maker of your motherboards homepage if you have found it I would say look to see under their support page for bios update and the program they use to up date it with.
2nd make sure under boot option you don't already have this ability in your bios but don't have it turned on .
3rd if you cannot do either of these give more detial I'll try to help you more.. Detail like type of mother board and company whom made it .

If it's possible, you'd need to get a BIOS flash from the manufacturer.
