Implantation happens a few days after conception, not 10 days. The 9 weeks is calculated from the first day of your last period, not conception.

Pregnancy goes like this:

First day of last menstrual period = day one of pregnancy (even though you haven't even conceived yet!)

Around 2 weeks after the first day of your last menstrual period = conception (already 2 weeks pregnant!)

Around 4 weeks after the first day of your last menstrual period = period is due - you notice that you missed it and discover you're pregnant - already 4 weeks along!

And so on and so forth. It's confusing, but the weeks of pregnancy do not start at conception or implantation. They start at the first day of your last normal menstrual period. Good luck!

My question is how do you know implantation date? The embryo normally does not take nearly that long to travel down the Fallopian tube and implant into the uterus! That could have something to do with it! If you are seriously concerned - ask your doctor!

Good Luck!

All of these dates are just estimations. They are not an exact science. Why does it matter so much? Each person, and their pregnancy is different. There is no way to know for certain. Best of luck.
