I know of two who have done that. Because women like that are very insecure deep down, and control freaks. They don't think they could find "better" later on. However, the men found out and were gone in a heartbeat. It's more trouble than it's worth. Pregnancy isn't something to mess around with. Or telling someone you are when you aren't.

Some men find it convenient to date endlessly. There is no commitment in dating and no decisions have to be made. It is easier to end a dating relationship than a marriage.
Women who are dating these men find that scaring them into marriage is the only way to get a commitment.

Based on what I have witnessed in women around me, or that I grew up with, who have clearly lied about being pregnant, I think the reason they do this is for attention and to test their boyfriend's support

Their clocks are probably ticking and they are despirate so they don't see any other way. When a women has invested 7 or so years into a relationship and a guy has not intention of marrying her, I guess she feels that she must take matters into her own hands.

Once any man hears the gf is pregnant, they best be prepared to go buy a pregnacy test themselves and wait outside the bathroom door or even ask to be in the room and see the results themselves.
ANY GUY who feels he's being taken, should have the brains to see FACTS first, don't you think???

That is horrible and only done by desparate women who obviously do not respect the man they are with! Nice way to start a marriage, with lies!!!!

Not all women do that...mostly because there are very few men worth "trapping". You should always get proof. I don't think it happens that much...If you're worried about it stop having sex.

a woman who does that is mentally unstable..
She has no repect for herself or the guy she sees as a future husband. She has esteem issues...
Not all woman are like this...but beware of the ones who are

i dont know many happy marriages that started out that way.
