since we picked him up .... do you think anything "fishy" was going on? That is the only part of his body he seems concerned with.

The cat is also unusually quiet and unresponsive compared to before we took him there for the week... I'd hate to think they did something, but what other explanation is there?

This is a really awkward question/situation - is it worth asking my in-laws? My husband noticed too....

Was the cat fixed? IF he's not fixed, did they go get him fixed? IF he's not fixed, maybe they let him run and get him some pussycat!!

Maybe being at granny and grammpys was boreing, so what else to do but lick your balls? Maybe he realized their worth licking!

Cats are SOOOOO finicky and sensitive.....could be a nervous tic because you left him with someone during your absence, Could also be a Urinary tract irritation because of change in water, food, etc. Watch for blood in urine if it does not stop with your tender loving care. The 'unusually quiet and unresponsive" is VERY common after returning home to a cat . Cats have feelings, too. Good luck and God bless

Do they have pets also? If the answer is yes your cat has come home with worms or the infestation he has had is now over the top for him. Either take him to the vet for a check and deworming or go to the pet store and get the dewormer and do it yourself. All pets should be routinely dewormed. Your cats licking is the same as a dog doing the carpet scooter butt scratch.

Seriously, if you ask them do you think they would say yes, we did something to the cat. Even if they did you can't ask with out putting a wedge between your relationship with the in laws. Take the cat to the vet and have him checked out.

HI, JUST ASK THEM IF THE CAT HURT HE PRIVATES. MAY BE YOU ASK THEM IF THE CAT GOT HURT IN ANY WAY WELL YOU WHERE GONE. DON'T ASK THEM IF THEY DID SOME THING TO THE CAT. JUST ASK THEM IF THE CAT GOT HURT. THAT WAY THEY KNOW THAT YOU KNOW SOME THING IS WRONG WITH HIS PRIVATES PARTS.

Much like any other animal, cats lick their balls because they can. As for his quiet demeanor, he's probably pissed at you for taking him out of his environment.

Get over it. No one raped your cat.

Another cat question. You need to get a life and STOP IMPOSING on your in-laws to watch your STUPID CAT.

It's most likely a "monkey see, monkey do" reaction. Your in-laws probably clean themselves that way and the cat is just mimicking them.
