No. Arizona is in the Mountain Time Zone and California observes Pacific Time.

Since most of Arizona does not switch to Daylight Time, the Californians in effect "catch up" when they turn their clocks ahead in March. During spring and summer, clocks in Phoenix and Los Angeles say the same. In November, California will fall back, dropping an hour behind Arizona again. Note that it is California that does the changing. Arizona does not change.

By the way, only part of Arizona stays on Standard Time the year round. The Navajo Nation, the large reserve making up the northeast quadrant of Arizona, does indeed go to Daylight Time.
Today, when it is noon in Los Angeles, it is noon in Phoenix, 1 p.m. in the Navajo Nation and 1 p.m. in Albuquerque.

No...Arizona has Mountain Standard time, while California is in the Pacific Standard time zone. During Daylight Saving Time however, time in both states are the same, since Arizona doesn't recognize DST.

no. but most of arizona does not follow daylight saving. So if daylight saving is in effect it is in the same time zone as California, outside of daylight saving it is an hour earlier.

At the moment, yes. But AZ doesn't change their time when everyone else does (no daylight savings time), so in the summer they are on California time, and in the winter they are on Mountain time.
