If this is true, then Goddess help our country!

Having a baby does NOT make you an adult.

Sorry to hear about your situation, but no you are not emancipated, you must go to court to have that done. And prove to the Judge that you are mature enough to provide a home, and care for yourself and your child, that includes finical, and emotionally for that child, and that it is in the best interest of you and the child. How at 15 can you work, finish school, raise your child, and maintain a home? Those are just a few things you will have to prove. Depending on what kind of home you are coming from, they can take you and the child into foster care. Do not get scared at that. They will place you and the child together in the same home. My family does foster care, and my aunt looks to take in young girls with children, to teach them how to do it, and encourage them to be good parents, and continue their education. She enjoys helping young girls out, when faced with being a young parent.

By most state laws, no you are not considered automatically an emancipated minor simply because you gave birth.

Here's my suggestion: Don't worry about emancipation, worry about education. I am not criticizing (I have no room criticize a teen mom as I was one myself). Your focus now should be you and your babies future - education, education, education. Nothin is impossible if you set your mind to it.

In your state, you are not emancipated until the age of 16. You are still the legal dependant of your paret(s) or legal guardian(s), unless there have been a legal finding by a court. I hope this helps!

No, not unless you signed a paper saying you can support yourself... I think you are a teen mom... Emancipation is when you and your parents sign papers stating that they are no longer legally and financially responsible for you and that you can provide housing and income for yourself and do not need parental assistance, supervision to meet your daily needs...

Do you feel emancipated?Who do you hold up as a role model? Does having a child hold you hostage?

Not until you go through the courts to get it legally done.
