there's no official statistic for this but I learned that some teams keep track on this as a measure of agressiveness/intensity on defense

Not sure, but I want to respond to the Jordan comment. Perhaps this person never saw Jordan, Bird, or Magic play the bad boys of Detroit. The Pistons were thugs and Bill Lambier was the worst of them. They closelined Bird and Jordan. Jordan was punished in an aggressive style of grind it out basketball. He was wrestled to the ground in the lane and Isiah had a history of stepping on people's feet when they beat his slow a$$ to the basket. This caused ankle injuries. Jordan played in the era of Riley and the Knicks grinding the game to halt with their aggressive defense too. He also played when hand checking was allowed.

The rules now state that hand checking is a foul. Therefore, they allow Kobe to score 81. Jordan could have done this easily with no handchecking and rough fouls.

Goaltending defeats the purpose of the game if a person can swat the ball out of the rim. It is a worthy rule.

The ghost of Wilt Chamberlain is going to reach down from heaven and deflect you for even asking such a ridiculous question. For crying out loud, the reason the goaltending rule even exists in basketball is because of Wilt. Like he said, they changed the rules to help Jordan, while they changed the rules to hurt him, and it didn't work. Wilt was the best ever, and anybody who says Jordan is seduced by the dunks and the sneaker commercials.

Probably Tayshaun Prince with his 7' 2'' wingspan...I'm sure he gets his hands on the ball a lot!
