and take up the majority of my time at work....!!!!

I have customers that write me a $30,000 check and barely ask a question and then customers who may spend $200 who waste my time with question after question and then the majority of them don't buy!

I'm the top salesman in the company so you are wrong about me not being able to sell to the CHEAPSKATE morons who ask every question under the book when it is spelled out in literature and on our website!@

They arn't cheapskates, they are smart consumers. They ask and think before making purchases instead of throwing money away at things whenever they could find a better deal or a better quality purchase elsewhere.

Well, the way I look at it, money comes and money goes. Now putting that into a customer/client type of relationship, if I was a stingy cheapskate, then I would handle my purchases like this; I want to spend the least amount of money possible if at all. I want to know about ALL the other products and I want to make an informed decision later on about it...cuz I don´t have the 30 g´s to write away like an autograph without asking the most thought out questions. However, if I WAS rich, like rich rich, I probably would write checks the way a train ´dude´ punches holes in my tickets. But that is neither here nor there, so if I was to spend 200 dollars (or nothing), I would still be the pesty bugger asking all the ´silly´ questions. But remember what our 1st grade teachers taught us. There is not such thing as a stupid question. Now that I think about it, why do you have so many questions?...Because we want to have an answer, that is why we ask. Have a good one, it is a beautiful day atleast where I´m at. Uno.

perhaps because the person spending the 30,000 dollars has enough money so that they do not really need to think twice, whereas the person with the 200 dollars may not have the same kind of financial freedom & they want to be sure they are making a good investment. As for the majority of them not buying..... I can't say.... perhaps your skills as a salesperson should be in question here..... Not the frugal & inquisitive nature of some of your potential customers.

People with lots of money don't always have to ask - they can afford pay for the highest quality materials and work. When the budget is small, you have to find the best compromise - which means asking lots of questions. These are also the people who, when the decision is made, usually stick with it. The "$30,300 and no questions" type will often complain afterwards - and insist on their money back.

I see it the opposite. People who write huge checks without question don't know how to budget their money. I've cashiered at several places and the people who fork over hundreds of dollars with no coupons or careful planning are always kids with mommy's money or the poor hillbillies and immigrants.

the poor - ask so many questions cause they have nothing else better to do
