Isiah Thomas. They wrote him and his team off b4 the season even began. He has responded as a coach and his team has responded to him. They have surpassed their win total from last year and are fighting for the last playoff spot in the east. He has made Curry a dominant center and has resurrected the knickabockers.

I agree. Utah had an average talent then Jerry Sloan turned them in into division leading team and 4th in the western conference behind the best overall teams in the whole league (Suns, Mavs, and Spurts.) So yes Jerry Sloan (Head Coach of Utah Jazz) should get Coach of the year.

Utah, they were not expected to be a 55 win team(Yup that's my prediction). But with the maturation of Deron Williams(who has finally shown why he was selected over Chris Paul, he's a better shooter, defender, and less injury prone, Paul's quicker though), Injury free Boozer, and All-Star Memo, they have secured COTY for Jerry Sloan. They weren't that bad last year though 42-42, after Deron came, and now that he's good, well you see the results. But in all honesty, i think though the Jazz deserve it might go to Phoenix for having a 60 plus win team(trust me).

I think the improvement the Jazz have made in one season merits Isiah for COTY.

I think Avery Johnson should win it eventually, but because his team were the favorites coming in, and are performing like it, it should really go to someone that wasn't on anyone's radar.

jerry sloan. i think it's long overdue. he's done with malone and stockton but his team is still there in the playoffs almost everytime around. right now, the jazz is considered one of the elite teams and sloan is a big part of it.
