This happened to my son when he turned exactly 9 months of age. You didnt give it enough time to pass. Most virus's last 5-7 days my sons dr said give it 10 days max. If your son is vomiting like mine did stop the foods give just pedi oral electrolite and the brat diet {banana's, rice, applesauce, toast and yogurt} thats what I was told to do. And my son was able to eat small amounts in the morning and maybe at night no milk though. And I bet your dr is going to tell you the same if its just a virus. And I know I said yogurt my sons dr said that it contains active bacteria that will help the gut start moving in the right direction

I Have two boys, and I know exactly how you feel, the same thing recently happend to both my boys. I wouldn't worry, he doesn't have energy becuase he is sick, we all get that way, and they probably tried to feed him at daycare and thats what made him throw up. My kids would be fine to and then they would eat and have diareaa all over again. When you have a stomache bug you shouldn't try and feed them right away because there tummy's are so sensitive, my doctor told me give them any fluid, then yogurt cereal apple sauce, things that are easy to digest. I hope this helps! I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old. So if you have more questions, I am sure there are alot I can answer. I have been though alot with my two boys.

You need to stick to the BRAT diet for a couple of days during a stomach virus. Eating other foods will only reactivate the bug that is still in his system.
Bannas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast. No Dairy at all!

usually they recommend a t least for the child to stay home for about 48 hours if they are sshowing signs etc.. that they are ill - however, this isnt always possible, and for most parents, getting time off work to look after a child who doesnt seem ill, isnt easy - do what you think is right - if they are throwing up, wait about 48 hours before returning to daycare, if not, when you feel they are ok.

There are some mom and father that deliver their little ones to a daycare or preschool facility from the time they're 6 weeks previous until eventually at last they visit college. i do no longer think of that 15 months previous is basically too youthful, yet i'm basically apprehensive with regard to the area time gig. some little ones do advantageous yet with so little time in effortless terms 3 days a week he might cry each and every time you're long previous and that i understand that this might seem impolite, yet as a instructor of one 3 hundred and sixty 5 days olds it drains up attempting to convenience your baby whilst all they choose is mommy. i understand numerous toddlers do extra perfect in the event that they go universal around the comparable time. each and all of the toddlers that I artwork with are finished time and that i've got no longer seen any of them cry different than for one whilst mommy or daddy leave. whilst i grow to be one my previous places of employment with the comparable age one baby got here 2 days a week for 7 hours and cried each and all of the time different than for nap time. I basically think of in case you could arise with the money for it finished time could be advantageous for him and the lecturers. additionally for you because of the fact as quickly as he gets used to it that can take everywhere from an afternoon as much as two weeks many times he won't cry and have exciting at school. additionally in case you like him to circulate exterior and play and socialize and all that stuff he needs to be there all day. in case you relatively in effortless terms prefer to do 3 days a week a minimum of enable him stay all day. i think of that ought to be the terrific determination.

There's a virus going around lately that's doing this. You feel good for a day or so, then right back where you were.

As you said, even though he wasn't throwing up, he still wasn't himself. He was on the mend, but still fighting it off. Day care just pushed him over the edge again (and exposed a lot of other kids to the bug.) Follow your doctor's advice to help him get better, but please don't send him back to day care until he is fully back to his normal, active self.

Many will offer answers but none of us have examined your baby and even fewer would know what to do if they had the opportunity to do so. Taking advise from people under this circumstance is fraught with possibilities of misconceptions. Just wait until the physician can see your child and should conditions worsen call his doctor or have him seen in the emergency room. Good luck with your child one hopes he will be in complete recovery very soon.

Daycare is terrible for babies. They will catch every single communicable disease from the other babies.
