What was the nicest customer you ever had?

Mine was a gentleman around Christmas time who not only secretly paid for the family of 5 next to him (whom he had just met), but left me a $40 tip. Then, when the table with the free meal left, I saw that they had left me a $20 bill. It brought a tear to my eye then and still does!

Also, who was the worst customer you've ever had?

Mine was this single guy that came in and when attempting to describe how much sauce he wanted on his chicken parm, got irritated and said angrily, "I wish the other girl was here!". (I just gave it to him on the side to avoid the hassle!) Then, he spoke to me rudely and was demanding in every way possible and left me $1!!!

Eons ago ( over 15 yrs ago) I was 17 and a table of 5 guys ran up a bill over $100. then ran out the door I chased them for a couple of blocks but I lost them.
They were the worst.

I came back in crying bad, because we had to pay for our walkouts. Two men from my other table came up to pay their bill, about $30, and they left me $100.
They were the best.
Where ever they are now , I hope life has given them all what they deserve.

once some customer called me over and pulled out a $100 bill. i wasn't serving him, but he told me he liked my smile. it ruled.

another time some guy started yelling at me about how the service was awful, and how he had to wait a long time because he didn't make a reservation. i wasn't his server but i had to stand there for 10 minutes and listen to it until the manager came out. he bit.ched her out for 20 minutes.

i don't know how servers do it, i quit both of my jobs. i hope to never have to work in that industry again.
