or the classic tracks from yesteryear? for me personally, i go for the retro stuff because i am not too keen on today's chart music and i choose songs from the 70, 80s, 90s. for me, i find it interesting to listen to 70s music, even though i was born in the 80s. and on my mp3 player i mainly have 80s to early 90s pop although i do love all types of music

I'm in agreement about today's music. I don't care for it. Most of the "music" to hit the charts today is rubbish. The artists don't have staying power. I stick to what I like-U2, Radiohead, Tori Amos, most of the 80s pop or new wave music, I love disco, and classic rock! I do try to keep an open mind and sample new music (thank God for myspace music), but again, I don't feel that any of these new artist really deserve my hard earned dollars!

My favourite decade was the 80's and I was born in 1981. Todays pop is just tripe compared to the many classics of the 80's so I download a lot of these songs and play them on my PSP. Although I'm also into modern day Hip-Hop, RnB and Dance music too.

i buy cds and download songs that i like! if i hear a song and realy like it then ill hunt it down and buy it whether its now music or old time music!
