The troops are a mixture of republicans democrats and independents. This mixture reflects the population.
We can not know the percentages because people in the military can not release their political affiliation in any kind of study. And people in the military should not tell a person they do not know their political affiliation.
I do not know where the 93% 7% came from, but I wish people here would stop using it, it is unsourced every time and unfounded statistics do not make for an intelligent argument.
The belief is the military is conservative, but the only way to find out is to look at personal voting records which are not kept.

No offense, but if you believe that being a democrat has anything to do with joining the military,...then your an idiot. I'd bet, statistically roughly 50% of the military is made up of democrats. Grow up, research your information BEFORE you make absurd statements and actually talk to someone who has been in the military, not gathering your information from watching old John Wayne movies.

You might want to check your facts on who supports the war and the way it is being fought. Check out your source, the conservative militarytimes.com. You will see that your figures and stats are a little off, if you bother to read the posted link.
