My hubby and I tried to conceive for 6 months and I had pregnancy symptoms every month and I would test and it would be neg. then on the 6th month when I had symptoms I almost didn't test because I thought it would be pointless, and it was positive. If the test is neg. u probably aren't pregnant. Make sure to test with first morning's urine. And after u miss your period, u can get a false neg with the test that say u can test 5 days early b/c that early they are only 64% accurate. Hope that helps. Good Luck.

It depends on when you ovulated and if you can confirm ovulation date (by cervical fluid dry up and/or thermal shift). If you can confirm ovulation date and it was 2 weeks ago or more, you should get an accurate result. If you can't confirm O date, it's possible you O'd later than you thought and so might be testing too early. You can try waiting a few days and testing again.

I've heard of some women who did not get a postive HPT even though they were pregnant and not testing too early. So that could be a possibility.

There's a rare chance that it could be a corpus luteum cyst. That can delay your period when you're not pregnant even though you ovulated as usual. It might also explain pregnancy like symptoms when you're not pregnant. This is a rare possibility though, so it's not likely the case w/ you.

You should wait a couple more days to see if you are pregnant or not if you take another test and its negative then go to the doctor and see whats going on with you. Good Luck

I heard that home pregnancy tests frequently give false negatives. You should go to a doctor and find out for sure.
