I don't understand the question - can you elaborate please

To be fair, any show that runs as long as The Simpsons would encounter the same problems 18 seasons in. There seems to be a universal grudge against the newer seasons although I've still laughed more at these than most other comedy shows. If anything, the newer shows have upped the 'daft' and 'wacky' and the creators seem to be worried about the attention spans of the audience (the newer episodes seem more manic too!).

There is no doubt the peak of the show was seasons 3-9, but it's still good entertainment and worth watching

we are die hard Simpson's followers. Fox used to run it at 5 and six pm ( with King of the hill interior the middle)yet they took off the 6 pm showing this season and placed on something stupid. We additionally very own each and every season that has been released to DVD. Any-who, i certainly like the episode the place Marge is a chippie. final Sundays kinda sucked and we've been extremely disappointed with the Halloween specific yet oh nicely. Cant watch for king of the hill to start back in January.

what is meant by "Jump the shark" is a reference to Happy Days when Fonz jumped the shark the show was basically on the down swing and stop being the show we wanted to watch. Back to the question, only time will tell.

I don't think so, but that's because I almost always laugh at the show. Sure there are *some* subpar episodes, but in comparison with other animated comedies, like Family Guy, (which has only been on the air for 5 seasons and ran out of steam somewhere in the 3rd season) it's impressive to me that a show that's been on since I was 9 years old has had me laughing consitently since.

so, yeah, with the amount of time it's been on TV, you'd think it would be stale and boring, but somehow, they've managed to keep me as a fan (even if I don't watch it as much as I used to) for the majority of my life.

For me, that's a damn good show.

I'm a huge Simpson fan but I have not been interested in it lately. I think it has outlived its usefulness. I will be seeing the new movie when it comes out tho

Well, it has been on for 18 seasons. Writers and creaters have come and gone. The show is more mainstream now. So it has lost the edginess it had way back when it began. It still makes me laugh now and then.

It definitely has lost something. I personally blame Dana Gould. Show started going downhill after he became involved.
