itv, channel 4 and 5 get their funding from adverts. all these years sky have been getting double money. from us and adverts. what makes matters worse is that sky's adverts are more frequent and longer than terrestrial tv so they get more money that way too. all these years sky have been milking it getting double money. we should either pay for sky and get no adverts (like the bbc with the tv licence) or get sky get funding just from adverts and pay for just the box (like freeview customers). is sky wrong?

It is solely a matter of greed; not satisfied with showing the same rubbish over and over again, including the +1 Ch, they have discovered that the dumb British public will pay to watch adverts over and over again. I was not told by Sky when I took out my package that almost half of it would go to watching Sky Adverts which have increased in frequency over the years I ve had it . Up to now Sky was my only option to watching TV, as there is no terrestrial signal. There is an option now so I m saying goodbye to Sky £1000s out of pocket , Terrestrial ITN could exist and show better programmes that Sky ever has done on adverts alone. Why can t Sky who never makes a programme for themselves not do the same. GREED is the answer.

I agree- Sky is such a rip-off, I started with the movie package but they kept repeating the movies so I have gone for the basic package and even then it's not value for money as they make so much money and the adverts are so irritating in the middle of a programme.

Totally agree with you, when sky first started all the movies and sports channels were free, slowly they have introduced higher prices so people dont notice, before you know it we will be paying for each channel we want and that WILL cost a fortune

Sky don't seem to care about the people
To them it's all about the Money and it's unfair but we pay them and they treat us like s*it and we let them (it's madness) We should have a sky strike and see if they like us then? they would s*it themself as there would be NO MONEY for them

Yes I do think it is unfair, I also think it is unfair that if you have Sky Sports you have to pay to watch Prem Plus matches.
