We started working with our son at 5mo with sitting up and he was sitting up on his own by 5.5mo old.....Every baby is different though for example, he's not much for rolling over even though he has done it on occasion, he's much more eager to crawl then rolling over and he's 6mo now.....Babies are in tune with what they WANT to do whether it be sitting up, rolling over or crawling, not just because they are supposed to at a certain age...

My son is 9 months old and he started when he was 6 months old. Every child is different but I think 6 months is the "average" age for sitting up. Once my son sat up he was crawling and pulling himself up before I knew it. Time goes by so fast!

Infants will begin sitting up unaided at 5 to 7 months. There's no one specific timetable and when infants reach milestones varies from one to the next.

While all babies develop at different rates, a baby should be able to sit up by about four or five months and should be able to stay up on their own for a period of time (to play and to eat, for example) by seven months. Here's a nice link:

Good luck!

this relies upon on the toddler. some are very stable and can do it by making use of 5 months...others quite larger toddlers will take longer as they should advance muscle administration to take action. attempt letting the wee one spend time on the floor on his/her tummy. this facilitates them to get greater desirable neck and back muscle mass. it is going to additionally help them with crawling later. do no longer evaluate your toddler to different toddlers and sense undesirable. and not in any respect have faith the style of mom who insists her youngster did each and every thing until now than the different. they're the two liars or deluded and wither way it stems from an absence of self belief in themselves so as that they should attempt to make you sense inferior. My son sat upright at 5 months. My daughter no longer until 80 one/2. they're the two merely as smart as one yet another and if something she is plenty greater effective co0ordinated than him. She is 10 now and he 12.

They bein it around five months but are unable to hold themselves up steadily. Around six months you will see him hold the position for a minute or two by themselves, but sit right there to catch them!
By seven or eight months they usaually start to master sitting up!

My daughter sat up at 5 months. But you have the wrong attitude, many things about children isn't when "should" they being doing this or that, a lot of things are at their own pace.
