I have managed to arrange an interview (through my networking contacts within my current employer) with the Assistant HR Manager as I will be made redundant ina couple of months, and am looking to obtain a job. What tips can you give to make a positive impression on her, as she has a lot of job contacts outside the organisation as well.

Approach this as a networking meeting, not as an interview. Ask her what contact she has that might be helpful to you, if she would be willing to review your resume and offer advice (and/or forward it to her network), what advice she might offer for your job search, recruiters you could use, etc.

you could in all probability assume a three% advance. that's ordinary of any company for virtually each and every worker, until eventually you could factor out why they choose you extra effective than somebody else. i might recommend making a catalogue of the projects which you do over and above all of us else in the corporation and advise it to the administrative or proprietor. sturdy success!
