I wouldn't be going to a doctor yet about your problem. They will just tell you to keep trying for a year, unless you are almost 40 years old, then they will tell you to try for 6 months. They will tell you this because most normal, healthy people can take anywhere from 3-12 months on average to get pregnant, and there is really no rushing that part.

One thing I would recommend that might make you get pregnant quicker is a fertility monitor. You basically pee on a stick, put the stick in the monitor, and it tells you when you are in your most fertile days. You can buy one online (ebay has them for under $100) or your local pharmacy.

If you still have no luck after a year, you might want to go straight to a fertility doctor (a reproductive endocrinologist) as REs are specially trained to look for fertility problems. Most of the time, dealing with a gynecologist is a waste of time for fertility issues.

I am not sure about REs in Columbus, but I can recommend the Institute for Reproductive Health in Cincinnati, about 2 hours away.

Good luck!

Why do you need a geologist if you are trying to conceive? Things must work a little differently down there in Columbus...
