I was wondering, I know one of the surgeons who trained under Dr. Biber in Trinidad, he said when the Doc was done, the former men were beautiful women.. So my question is , I guess, to transgenders prefer to date straight men, or go lesbian? Always wondered, have seen talk shows where they marry and are very happy. Saw the movie " Soldier Boy" I think the one where the " woman" fell in love with the soldier and he as well, cried and was outraged what they did to that soldier for his love for her, as a former soldier myself.

Gender identity and sexual orientation are 2 different things. Some Transsexuals prefer women therefore becoming lesbian after surgery and some like me who like men and become straight after surgery. its all a personal preference.

btw the movie your referring to is "Soldier's Girl". about Barry Winchell and Calpernia Addams

this is a really good question. wish i had a good answer. I think it really depends on the person. I read an article by the author of "Shes Not There" the university professor who is a MtF transexual. She was a hetero married father of two who switched her gender. In the article I read she wrote that her sexual preferences seems to have shifted since her change and is more fluid than before the change.

I'm not sure if there are any hard statistics on the sexual orientation of transgendered people. There is no concrete standard orientation for trans people. They can be gay, straight, bi, pansexual, asexual, just like anyone else.
