I have observed that a majority of people I come across in a working day are so common.
They are superficial, no depth to them, judge things by fave value, speak very loudly in public, extremely bad etiquette and no mannerisms.
They are also like sheep - followers of other people and easily influenced by perceptions. Sad!
I am just glad I am not one of those. I have my own mind and I don't care what people think of me. I am unique!

As Etiquette is the practices and forms prescribed by social convention, to conform to etiquette is to be a sheep.
It is similarly nonsensical to juxtapose phrases such as "I have observed that the majority of people", with "easily influenced by perceptions." Clearly you are easily influenced by your perceptions?
Sorry dear, but you may well be a bit more common than you think.
I point this out in a non-judgemental manner following your assurance that you don't care what people think of you.

I really do not think one can JUDGE people like that, I hear what you are saying, but you really cannot judge a book by its cover, some one quite down to earth could be a war hero, a specialists in their own field, yet talk with , as you call it a a "Common" accent
You may consider yourself "Unique" - think about it others might JUDGE you as a jumped up, self opinionated little prig???
And to be perfectly honest, that is the way your question and your atttitude has come over.

I dont think your unique, I believe and hope there are alot of people out there who are not common!
I have to say I come from a common family and thats cool, what you see is what you get with them and I love it!
Now days common is better than being a CHAV id hate to be a chav!! You know, tracksuit, baby is one hand, *** in the other!!
I went for a interview yesterday for a really good company in these pluch offices in London and I loved it! Really hope I got the job! I want more out of life than what I have at the moment and constantly strive to do better!
I dress well, My hair is always nice, always smell nice and I speak well! But then I can also be the life and soul of a party! You dont need to be common to have a laugh!
I dont smoke, I think that is common!!
I also hate conflict and cant stand people that argue in the street!
Being Common isnt bad, having fake blonde extensions, fake nails and fake tan is bad!!

In speech i am sometimes said to be common but i never judge people before getting to know them and i'm quite mature for my 24yrs and can hold a decent conversation.
I probably only talk common sometimes because of the people i am around - i fit into their ways and mannerisms. Put me infront of the Queen and i'll be the politest, well mannered little lady going :)

No, I don't think I am, I like to talk english properly(most of the time) I wear hooded tops with jeans I care not what people think, walk past me and i'm enjoying bands like The Sex Pistols, The offspring, chillis even some rap like P Diddy bad boy for life(although gangsta rap total Sh...) I also do stuff I want without the care of what people think like once i jumped a whole stair case (a lad broke his ankle lol). In fact its coming to the end of my college course(uni for us is proabaly like American College) and i'm growing my hair so I can go in on the last day with a mohawk totally crazy. I'm not a scallie, Goth, Emo or chav I'm just ME!!!!

I'd like to think I'm not.
I'm very quiet in public- I don't feel the need to make a scene. I have good manners and am polite to people I meet. I don't follow fashion trends or technological trends either. (Still no ipod here! haha).
Being unique is definitely a good thing. :)

I'm unique and also have my own mind, but I DO care what people think of me. Caring about what people think of me doesn't make me a follower...it makes me a very strong leader.

You could end up being one lonely old person unless you accept that other people than just you exist on this planet. A little give and take could make a huge difference in your life. Accept people for who they are regardless of their upbringing or education. You could get a pleasant surprise.
