No oxygen, and the prefix is hydro-, as in HCl, hydrochloric acid.
If there is oxygen, then the modern way is to name them (shortened element name)-ic acid, with the oxidation state of the non-metal.
H2SO4 = sulphuric(VI) acid
H2SO4 = sulphuric(IV) acid.
HNO3 = nitric(V) acid and so on.
There are, however, many countries in the owrld, including the USA, where old names still survive, and these seem to have no rhyme or reason, and just have to ne learned.
