If you do athlectics, or you are stressed out, or changed your eating habits, it could be a reason to skip. My little sister had the same thing happen to her. She just got her period last month, and hasn't gotten it yet. She also plays sports. My aunt didn't get her period the entire time she played soccer in high school. It's all based upon the amount of energy you exert during the day. If your body doesn't have enough energy to reporduce, it won't. That's what a period's for.

If you have been sexually active you could be pregnant. Though as this is early on in your history of having periods it is probable that your body has just not regulated it's cycle yet. If there is cause for concern regarding pregnancy talk to a responsible adult about your options right away. You do not want to make decisions regarding the matter without the help of your family or councilors.

If you have not been having sexual contact with any members of the opposite sex whatsoever, I wouldn't worry. If the problem doesn't correct itself in the next 30 days or so, maybe check with your doctor. Probably would be a good idea to do that anyway if you haven't since you started your period. If you have had sexual contact... time for a checkup Right Now!

Well, if you haven't engaged in any sexual activity, you're probably doing just fine. It could be a sign of pregnancy (if you have engaged in sexual activity), stress, imbalanced diet, or a side-effect of an eating disorder. Also, for the first couple of times you have your period, it will probably be irregular, sometimes heavy, sometimes light, sometimes longer, sometimes not there at all. I wouldn't worry too much right now, but if you skip it twice, I would alert the doctor. Go with your instincts on this one; it's your body. But don't panic; it happens to everyone. : )

it could be a lot of things. For one it could be that you are pregnant, if that is a possibility. If you are stressed out your period could skip or be a lot shorter then usual. You could just be irregular and need to be on the pill in order to be regular. I was regular for about 5 months then all of a sudden i no longer was and i have been on the pill ever since. To make yourself feel better go to the doctor and talk to them.

There is nothing wrong with you hun. I skipped my period about 8 times in a row when I first got it. It was due to stress, working out and your body is still getting hormonely balanced. Don't worry, feel lucky you get a month off. (as long as you arent having sex, of course)

If you have just started your period it is normal for it to be a little irregular, i wouldn't worry about it. I have had my period for 20 years and I still skip one once in a while.

My mom told me when I was just starting mine that it takes awhile - years, likely - for the menstrual cycle to become regulated. This includes being late or early by a couple weeks. And when it does regulate itself, it's not going to be per month necessarily. The typical cycle is 28 days and aside from February, well, you know...
