I used to always have the same problem, until I worked at a tanning salon. Our salon had airbrush tanning (you know, not a booth but you get a spray on tan by someone airbrushing it on you), and the liquid they used was almost pure dha, which is what gives you the tan color in self tanners. I ended up ordering some of the solution from a tanning salon supplier, and it solved my problem. You achieve a much darker tan, too, because its a concentrated formula. The other cool thing is that a lot of the solutions come in lotion form too, so if you don't want to deal with liquid you don't have to. You can search for tan suppliers online, there are a lot of sites. I use AuCourant brand (but I think any professional brand would be good) for my body and loreal's bronze for my face because it is a little lighter. Good luck:)

While no self tanner is perfect, I HIGHLY recommend Jergens Natural Glow. Similar products are made by L'Oreal, Vaseline, Banana Boat, and Neutrogena, just to name a few. These products are basically regular daily skin moisturizers with a small amount of self tanner. When in the shower, give your skin a nice allover gentle scrub with a loofah for exfoliation and then use the Jergens Natural Glow in place of your regular moisturizer when you get out of the shower. Just give it 10 minutes or so to soak into your skin and you're all set. No need to wait 24 hours. I just do my hair and make up naked and get dressed last .
Because there is less self tanner in the lotion it is almost impossible to end up with streaks. I have VERY pale skin and when I use this stuff every day I end up with a gorgeous medium toned tan after 4 or 5 days. And, because the product is designed to be applied every day, even if you wash some of your tan off in the shower you will just be reapplying it when you get out. My tan stays even and consistent.
There is even a version made for your face that is a moisturized, self tanner and sunscreen all in one.

I guess your not into going to a tanning salon, but that is the only real answer to your question. Okay, well during the winter when I am not tanning, I use Jergens natural glow lotion. It works really good. Apply is 1-2 times a day and you should start seeing results in like 4 days. I think that it gives a nicer glow than self-tanners do.

All self-tanners have the same ingredient so that may not be the problem. Make sure that you exfoliate before applying it and put the self-tanner on first...no lotion for several hours. I like Coppertone's Endless Summer Foam (not lotion), it dries very quickly and seems to wear a little longer.

the only factor you're able to do is exfoliate (scrub gently) each and every time you bathe. try St. Ives Apricot Scrub which you would be able to get from the drugstore in the face products aisle and apply it to your streaky palms/legs and the colour ought to progressively come off.

I would recommend you Arbonne's selt tanner. It works great, it is not a dye it works with pigmentation, no streaks or mess. It works best if you exfoliate your body first.
