Anything by Level 42, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Tears for Fears etc etc The 80's has some of the most original and unique artists we will ever see. Its too much cover version and linear guitar pop now, there are great new bands around but not as many as in the 80's

Plastic Bertrand - Ce Plane Pour Moi!

I agree, too many to list. A-Ha, Haysi Fantayzee, Bryan Adams, Nena, Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, Nick Kershaw, Thompson Twins, Prince, Sheila E, The Sweet, Peter Gabriel, Kenny Loggins, Axel F, and it goes on and on.

BTW - Saw Simple Minds in concert on the weekend. If you get the chance, go see them. They were fantastic and Jim Kerr is still excellent on stage.

I was in high school during the 80's, there were so many good songs it's hard to choose just one. I liked anything by REO Speedwagon, Journey, Styx, Pat Benatar, Loverboy, and Bon Jovi. I now listen mostly to country and contemporary christian muisc (but I still love listerning to Bon Jovi.) If I have to choose my all-time favorite song of the 80's it would be Keep On Loving You by REO Speedwagon.

Oh boy that's a loaded question..So many so many great songs..from Erasure, Pet Shop Boys, Rick Astley, INXS, Simple Minds, Rolling Stones (still kicking in the 80's), Duran Duran, Blondie, and so many others, they all had a great song at least one in every album released each...
I can't even start telling which one is my favorite lol
