Temptation is to have ones desires fulfilled by crook.
Human wants - is a dilute word for desire. Wants include necessity but desires are not necessities necessarily.
Human emotions is what one has when desires are or are not fulfilled.
Human mentality is what decides what kind of desires one has.
Human sociology is what encompasses the human wants, desires, mentality and interactions and stuffs them into books that one needs to read to get a degree in.

Temptation usually determines being pulled toward something - in most cases, something which is not very good for you; could land you in hot water.
For instance, you could desire a thing (want) and this desire which is (emotion) could be so great, that you are tempted to make efforts to get that thing.
Your mentality determines how you handle that desire, that want, that emotion. Sociology is the study encompassing it all.

Desires are built into people, such as desires for food, shelter, intimacy, etc.
Temptations are disordered or sinful urges for the above things - i.e. being tempted to eat too much food (gluttony), want too much money (greed) or sex outside of marriage (lust).
Therefore, temptations are to be fought against.
Desires, on the hand, must be simply put in their proper place.
None of our natural desires are evil - as long as they are moderated and used according to their purpose. Human wants, needs and emotions all have their proper places.

Those are all pretty interrelated...
I would put desire in wants, and temptations could best go in either Sociology or wants.
