how do you decide the size of stripper shoes to purchase?

Generally, they are the same as your shoe size. Most are only available in whole sizes, so if you wear a 7 1/2, you should get an 8. I think that zappos.com says what brands feel true to size (according to other shoppers). If you can, find a store and try them on first. There are a lot of different heel heights and platform heights and heel widths available. If these are your first pair, I would recommend not going too high and practice walking and dancing in them before you go out. I was a bit wobbly when I got my first pair of 6 1/2" stilettos, but I can just about run in them now.

I always find that high heels are 1/2 size or a whole size smaller than my sneakers. For example I wear size 6 sneakers, so I wear anywhere between 5-51/2 in high heels. Good luck.

They are the same size as your regular shoes.

And they are SOOOOO comfortable. Get the high heel stilettos with the lift under the toe. I had several pair at one point. I could wear them all night long.
