the heat waves which come from the sun hit the earth and bounce towards outter space but the gases - gases caused by pollution - prevent this waves from escaping so they are trapped in our planet and cause the global warming

Outgoing radiation is absorbed by so-called greenhouse gases and re-radiated in the infrared region of the electro-magnetic spectrum. We feel this as heat, since infrared radiation increases the thermal energy of the atmosphere.

It doesn't . The CO2 has been taken care of by the plants.
Methane has just disappeared .
