I just turned 20weeks pregnant and last month they made my apt. for my ultrasound in 10 days from now, which means i will be over 21weeks.. everyone else i know has had theirs before or at 20weeks. My fiancee is also off work the rest of this week and goes back next monday so it would be easier for him to attend this week, do you think its ok if i call and try to change it to this week? ive never been threw one before and i dont want to cal and bug people but i would really like to have it changed? Thanks for your opinions

Just call and tell them that you need it sooner. You can tell them anything, that you're going out of town, a little white lie won't hurt. I just had the same situation, although I'd had an ultrasound before week 20... since my doctor has a machine at his office. I got my 20 week ultrasound at 22 weeks. It will be okay. Just tell them that you need it done earlier. That should do the trick.

I had mine done at 17 weeks, and I am having one this Friday I will be 32 weeks. I don't see anything wrong with asking to change the date. Explain that you want your fiance there to see as well and maybe they can squeeze you in.

change it if you'd like .. couldn't hurt to ask!
20 weeks is definitely far enough along to see what needs to be seen .. you'll for sure be able to find out the sex of the baby (we found out at 18 weeks).
just give them a call ..

good luck! God bless!

If they have an opening I do not see whay it would be a problem. My doctor said anytime after 20 weeks would be fine. You need to wait that long so they can check heart, kidneys, brain..etc.

It's better if you call and change your appointment so the two of you can be together for the appointment.

Just explain your situation and they should be happy to take you in.

Good luck!

there is no harm in trying but i would guess that they changed it for a reason,eg shortage of staff due to sickness
